5 ways you can celebrate little victories with your small business team

By Anica Oaks

Part of continued progress for your small business is taking the time to celebrate the little victories that happen at work. The idea is to have these victory celebrations be something unexpected and fun for the staff members around you. Here are five awesome ways you can help your staff members celebrate the little victories that you obtain.

Power move dance party

If your staff loves to get down, consider having a power move dance party. After your staff members meet their milestones, schedule a few minutes for a celebratory dance party. Your staff members can break out their power moves and get motivated to chase down the next challenge. Consider buying a speaker system or at least a bluetooth speaker to jam out with. This is a quick, cost effective way to reward your employees for the small metrics and KPIs they meet daily or weekly.

Dress down day

If your staff is required to be in formal or semi-formal attire, then consider offering a dress down day. Let your staff members enjoy the benefits of their hard work by not having to get dressed up for the workday and also allow them to perhap show off more of their personality with their choice of casual attire.

Order in food

There’s nothing like taking some time out of your daily schedule to bond over some food. When your staff hits their next milestone, opt for corporate restaurant delivery. This will be a nice treat for the staff that will break up their day. Plus, it will allow them time to celebrate with one another, and get to know each other a little bit better.

Work from home day

When it comes to hitting milestones, your staff members tend to work in overdrive when they’re getting close to their target. This can lead to added stress and overall tiredness. After your staff hits their next milestone, consider having a work from home day. This way, your staff members can lounge in the comfort of their own home to get some much-needed mental rejuvenation. This can help them feel refreshed and recharged before needing to reach the next ambition target goal you’ll be setting.

Have a party

There’s nothing like a good ole party to get the celebration underway. Consider having some cake and ice cream next time your staff hits their mark. You can also do a potluck, themed party, or quick afternoon movie party to reward all of your employees. This will give them some time to celebrate their victory together while relaxing for a bit to take in the moment of pride.

Hopefully, you now have a few good ideas on how to celebrate your next victory. It’s important to take some time out of the regular work schedule to let your staff members celebrate their success. It will ensure they become motivated to take on the next challenge that you throw their way.
