Growing a business can be hard and sometimes feel like you are hitting your head against a brick wall. However, there are different and inexpensive ways you can look to help boost and grow your business just by using social media. Social media is a wonderful thing to help small businesses but can be very confusing trying to work out how to be seen, how to grow your account and what kind of things you should post. Here are some helpful tips on using social media to grow your business.

Consistency is key

With social media, consistency is the best way to help your account grow. If you post regularly the algorithm will help your account be seen by more people. If you are inconsistent when you’re posting even your own followers won’t always see when you put something new out. It can take a while to get things going but once you start posting consistently you’ll see a difference after a while in the engagement and the following account. If you struggle to post on a daily basis you can use a scheduling tool. This is where you can sit and plan all your posts for the week or even the month and set them out to go on different days at different times so you don’t need to worry about it. It will automatically go and is something you need to keep on top of on a daily basis. Anything that makes the task easier will improve your consistency; this social media content curation tool is a great example of that.

Use influencers to reach new audiences

Influencers are also a great tool to help grow your account. Influencers have a trusted engaged audience that trusts their views. So when an influencer posts on their social media recommending something their followers are likely to trust them, and follow your account or even buy from you. Big celebrities are also good at using social media to sell things and can help small businesses sell out and go viable in a matter of days. But you don’t always need big celebrities and huge influencers to help your business. Micro and small influencers just have a smaller audience but they’re still just as engaged and trustworthy. There are also potential clients for you. If you want to work with an influencer you can either contact them directly or go through an agency. Then you would either give them a small fee or a free product in return for them to promote you and your business on their platform. You could even offer them a discount code for their audience so you can track how successful it is

Podcasts are the way forward

Podcasts have become very popular especially since the lockdown. More and more people have set up podcasts and they are a great way to get your message out there. Even celebrities have podcasts now, there is something for everyone no matter what your interest or hobby there will be someone that helps with a podcast for it. It’s also a great way for businesses and business owners to go on a podcast as a guest to promote what they’re selling. Just the celebrities do on talk shows but you would do this on a podcast that’s related to your business. There Are things like a podcast booking agency where you can book yourself onto relevant shows to talk about what you want to offer or chiming on something that’s relevant to them where you can plug in your products.
